Ian is an expert in group decision support and has a wealth of experience of working with individuals and senior management teams to create strategic plans, including identify and agreeing the long-term vision and goals for their business, as well as how they are going to achieve them.

He studied under the world leading experts in the ‘Journey Making’ strategy development process and worked with them in co-authoring the ground-breaking book “The Practice of Making Strategy“, as well as a text book that was used in the strategy module of the MBA programme at the Strathclyde Business School.

When working with clients, Ian uses highly participative decision support tool and techniques to acquire, manage and analyse the complex information that surrounds strategy development to build a strategy model.  Emphasis is placed on gaining consensus from the people in the strategy group.
